Ruth Vivian Rogers Brodie was born on August 18, 1919 and was escorted by God's angels to her resting place on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. She now awaits the return of Jesus.

She was a loving and dedicated wife to her late husband, William G. Brodie and a devoted stepmother to her four step-children, Josefus, Samuel, Doris and William.

Ruth Brodie graduated from I. C. Norcom High School and Spratley Beauty College.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and in November 1970, she was baptized into the Calvary Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Newport News.  She was active in her church until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband, William G. Brodie, and three of her four stepchildren.  She leaves to cherish her memory a host of loving family and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2021 at Calvary Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.  Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Friday.  O.
