Thelma L. Grant, 67, of Hampton, VA was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. She was born December 13, 1952 in Tarboro, NC to the late Marie Grant and William Grant, Sr.

Thelma loved the Lord with all of her heart.  She also loved to shop on her favorite station QVC. She also loved to watch cop shows and Family Feud.  She loved spending time with her grandkids.  Thelma was a die hard Cowboys fan, you could not tell her nothing bad about her Cowboys.  She was also a very loving, caring person who would do anything for anyone.  She also loved to cook, she also made sure everyone was fed, nobody went hungry while being  around her. Thelma also loved her sweets.

Thelma was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Grant. She attended Portsmouth Public School. Thelma also was employed by Hampton Pentran for many years then later became employed by Hampton City Schools as a bus aide.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Alicia Clinton and Sheryl Jordan; one son, Deshawn Jordan, Sr.; three grandsons, Godfrey Clinton, Jr. (Karen), Joshua Clinton (Ashley) and Juan Clinton (Symone); six great-grandkids, Dwayne, Deshawn Jr., Kameron, Godfrey III, Maryah, and Karter; three sisters, Delores Grant of Portsmouth, VA, Sheneal Campbell (Phillip) of Chapel Hill, NC and Norma Jenkins (Michael) of Hampton,VA; three brothers, Abdul Grant of Independence, VA, Angelo Grant of Ft. Myers, VA and Kelvin Grant of Landover, MD; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2020 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.  O. H. Smith and Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
