Theodore White, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.  Theodore was born on October 3, 1943, in Newport News, VA.  He relocated to Detroit, Michigan after graduating from Norfolk State University and was a resident of Detroit for the past 50 years.

Theodore worked for Detroit Public Schools for 42 years as a Math Teacher and Science Specialist.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He was an avid football and basketball fan who frequently attended local high school championship games.  Playing pool and ballroom dancing were also some of his favorite past-times.  He was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman White, Sr. and his mother, Lonniell White; his sisters, Violet, Lillie, Lonniell, Elizabeth, Martha, and brother, Sherman Jr.  He is survived by a son, Ted Jr., daughter, Bree, grandson, Dominic, granddaughter, Jaye, sisters Josephine, Ruth, Jocelyn, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
