Tonza Kemp, age 67, of Newport News passed away on November 23, 2023. She is survived by her 4 children, Richmon Jr.(Leslie), Shedrick (Tiffany), Shanna, and RoSean ( Stephanie); brother, William Turner; stepmother, Joyce C. Turner; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Tonza grew up in Newport News where she attended Homer L. Ferguson High School. She later obtained her certificate as an LPN working over 30 years in the healthcare system.  Tonza may have had some struggles but lived life to the fullest. Our family is grateful to have been blessed by her presence and know that our mother is finally at peace.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 8, 2023 at Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Temple.  Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Friday.  O. H.
