Tracy M.
Thomas
d. Oct 4, 2024
Tracy Michèle Thomas died peacefully, October 4, 2024. Her earthly journey began April 7, 1967, in Newport News, Virginia, where she was lovingly raised by her parents, Leon and Dorothy Thomas. She was the second of four daughters.
A native of Newport News, Tracy graduated from Denbigh High School, where she played in the band and was a member of the National Honor society.
During her early years, she attended the Hampton Institute Laboratory School and Saint Andrews Episcopal School, where she excelled in her classes. Not only was Tracy a beautiful baby, but she was also a graceful and beautiful ballerina dancer with much finesse and poise during her teen years. In addition to being a great performer, she was also an excellent swimmer, completing all levels of swimming: polliwog, tadpole, minnow, fish, flying fish, porpoise, and even shark.
After graduating from Denbigh High School, Tracy attended Kee Business College, where she received a degree in Hotel Restaurant management. Tracy was a generous and compassionate person, with an insatiable love of learning.
Tracy leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted mother, Dorothy Thomas; two loving sisters, Tonya Wiley-Robinson and husband Arturo; Accokeek, MD; Tecla Sanders and husband Howard, Atlanta, GA; an aunt; Patricia Anderson, Sicklerville, NJ; three nieces; Alexis and Ariana, GA; Maia Hart, Hampton, VA; three nephews, Jordan, Accokeek, MD; Howard III and Leon, Atlanta, GA; Matthew, Hampton, VA; three cousins, Tracy, Deja, and Lamont Parker, Sicklerville, NJ; and a host of relatives from the Thomas family, Raleigh, N.C. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Thomas, and her sister, Tasha Hart.
Tracy's faith in God was immeasurable; she fought the good fight and is now at home with our Heavenly Father.
