Tyler De'Marquis O'Nele Freeman, 28, departed this life on November 23, 2019.

Tyler was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Melvin Painter and Bernice Painter McClease; aunt, Evangeline Lancaster; uncle, Melvin Painter; and great aunt, Lucy Bell Matthews.

Tyler left to celebrate his life, his mom, Toye L. Freeman and her special friend, Maurice; father, Carl D. Painter (Chavelá); daughters, Morgan Freeman and her mom, Jasmine Fraline and Na'Veyah Freeman and her mom, Charstasia Jimmerson; maternal grandparents, Samuel Freeman III, Geraldine and James Caldwell; paternal grandparents, Otis and Armeke Smith; siblings, Desmond Freeman-Thomas (Chandra), Caleb Freeman, Samuel Freeman, Chaniya Painter, Carl Painter, Jr. and Cameron Painter, and best friends, Destiny "Tee" Broward and Dre'; a favorite great aunt, Gloria Jean Parker, and host of other great aunts and uncles;  aunts, Angela (Kent), Katrice, Sonjia (Orlando), Jessica (Trae), Dionne, Almonie (Raymond), Cachet, Bernice, Charlene (Kenneth) and Monalisa (Antonio); uncles, Ealdon (Urbi), Derrick, Toby, Carl (Tanika), Delmare, Johnathon and Leonardo (Teresa); god parents, Marguerite Lewis, Leora Baker and Derrick Jackson; nieces, Mia and Makayla; nephew, Amir; and a host of loving cousins, other relatives, and beloved friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2019 at New Living Well Bible Church, 1245 N. King Street, Hampton, VA 23669.  Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.  Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Friday.  O.
