Virgia Etheridge Spellman passed August 25, 2025, at Dominion Village at Williamsburg Memory Care Facility, in Williamsburg, VA.  She was born in Elizabeth City, NC (Nixonton Township) to Henry and Laura Etheridge and was the widow of John Washington Spellman, Jr.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 3009 Chestnut Avenue, Newport News, VA.  Family and friends will gather for visitation from 9am – 9:45am and the funeral service will begin promptly at 10am.  Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.  O.
