NEWPORT NEWS - William C. McGlone, Sr., 84, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019. He was a native of Ahoskie, NC and a resident of Newport News, Virginia for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Gertrude McGlone; son, Eric A. McGlone, Sr.; sister, Mamie Johnson; brothers, John Porter and Stanley McGlone.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Eloise McGlone; his children, Regenia Walker (Ricardo), William C. McGlone, Jr. (Kimberly), Deborah Williams (Dwayne), Linda Jordan, Edward McGlone (Sibyl) and Theresa Macklin (Delton Sr.); sister, Teresa Peed; nineteen grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A homegoing celebration will be held 12 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2019 at Messiah Center, 1421 W. Pembroke Ave., Hampton, VA 23661. Viewing will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church on Friday. O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
