Willie Mae White-Welch, 62, unexpectedly passed from earthly labor to heavenly reward during an emergency room visit on April 20, 2020.

A longtime member of Zion Baptist Church, Willie Mae put God first and a lifetime of devotion to her family.  She was a graduate of Menchville High School and undergraduate and graduate studies in business at Strayer University.  She worked for nearly two decades as a Quality Inspector at Continental in Newport News, also after more than a decade cashiering for Colonial Williamsburg and Casey Auto Group.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie T. and Bettie White of Newport News, and numerous aunts and uncles. She leaves to cherish innumerable precious memories, two sons: Dwayne (Tamara) and Milton L. Welch of York County, VA; six grandchildren Cacheris, Tanequia (Steve), Taron, Janiece, Sanaa, and Anayiah; cherished friend of forty years, Deborah Randall; special uncle, Joseph Holland, cherished cousin, Gloria Batten,  ex-husband; and a host of beloved cousins, and relatives.

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
