Deacon Wilma Marlene Cofield, 84, entered eternal rest on November 11, 2018 after an extended illness. She was a member of Second Baptist Church E. E. where she was a faithful choir member, Sunday School teacher and a deacon. She married the love of her life, the late Andrew Cofield, Jr. and from their union a daughter, Rev. Dr. Gwendolyn Cofield Roy was born.

She was preceded in death by 8 sisters and 2 brothers.

Deacon Cofield leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Rev. Dr. Gwendolyn Cofield Roy; granddaughters, Alethea and Jessica Washington; great granddaughter, Brinley Williams; brother, Arnold Holmes; a host of loving relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Second Baptist Church East End. Viewing will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be private. O. H.
