Obituary

Today, we give praise and honor to God for the life of Xynovia Parks. Xynovia, the oldest of two daughters born to Kelvin Parks and Cheryl Kapuscenski on March 26, 2005, left for her heavenly home on June 5th, 2025, at the Kissito Healthcare Rehabilitation Center in Roanoke, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her father, Kelvin Parks, and brother, William Samuel.

Xynovia was a student at Denbigh High School in Newport News, a member of Greater Bethlehem Christian Assembly, and a lover of the arts. She had such a heart for her church family, and enjoyed participating in youth choir and activities. She stayed creative making social media content to stay connected with family and friends. Additionally, she enjoyed a collection of stuffed animals, butterflies, the color purple, eclectic music tastes, and all the things that made up a girl's world. She loved to share what she loved in conversation with anyone.

Everyone who knew Xynovia was impressed with her pure heart, overwhelming kindness, and genuine love for her entire family. Like her father, she was quick to say, "I love you, and there's nothing you can do about it!"

Xynovia Parks leaves to cherish her memory a mother, Cheryl Kapuscenski; several siblings, Italia Parks, Michael Kapuscenski, and Rachel Smith; her paternal grandmother, Irish Walden; her uncle, Rodondo Parks, and his children Tatiana, Zion, Gabriella, and Harlem Skye; her aunt, Alysha Parks; her maternal grandmother, Ann Kapuscenski, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

Xynovia will truly be missed as her light shines bright in the hearts of all she encountered.
